Honorary Members and Governing Board

An Honorary Membership is bestowed on society members who have served long and with distinction in the field of applied entomology and/or applied zoology, and faithfully participated in the affairs of the Society for many years. An Honorary Member is recommended by the Standing Council and elected by the Governing Board.

The Governing Board is composed of the President, the Vice-President, some Councilors (approximately 60 at present) (1 Councilor/30 members), four Standing Councilors, the Executive Editor, the Manager, the Vice-Manager and two Accountant Inspectors. The President supervises the Society and the Vice-President assists the President. The Councilors oversee the policies of the Society and the Standing Councilors act on behalf of the Society. The Executive Editor is responsible for editing the Society magazines. The Manager is responsible for general management of the society and the Vice-Manager assists the Manager. Accountant Inspectors hold an inspection of the budget of the Society each year. The Standing Council consists of the President, the Vice-President, the Standing Councilors, the Executive Editor, the Manager and the Vice-Manager. The Standing Council has authority to act on behalf of the Society.
