Japanese Society of Applied Entomology and Zoology Awards
Awards given by the Japanese Society of Applied Entomology and Zoology (JSAEZ) include the JSAEZ Award, JSAEZ Encouragement Award, AEZ Paper Award, and JSAEZ Poster Award. The JSAEZ Award is presented to a JSAEZ member who has played a leading role in a significant research achievement in the field of applied entomology or applied zoology. The JSAEZ Encouragement Award is presented to a promising JSAEZ member younger than 40 who has made a significant research contribution to the field of applied entomology or applied zoology. The AEZ Paper Award is presented to a JSAEZ member who has written a paper published in Applied Entomology and Zoology (AEZ), the excellence of which is assessed based on its citation number. The JSAEZ Poster Award is presented to a JSAEZ student member who has presented an excellent poster presentation at the annual JSAEZ meeting. The award rules specify that there must be two awardees per year for the JSAEZ Award, JSAEZ Encouragement Award, and AEZ Paper Award. The JSAEZ Poster Award is presented to about 10% of all students presenting posters at the annual JSAEZ meeting.
