The Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University, invites applicants
for a tenured position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of
insect physiology.
この度、国立大学法人 京都大学農学研究科 応用生物科学専攻では、
下記の要領で教員（昆虫生理学分野）を公募することになりました。

4. Job description/専門分野および職務内容
Field: Insect Physiology
The successful applicant will be in charge of the following lectures/classes:
Graduate level: Seminar in Insect Physiology, Research in
Insect Physiology, etc
Undergraduate level: Laboratory Course in Bioresource Science,
Seminars in Plant Protection Science, etc
専門分野： 昆虫生理学
担当講義・実験・実習科目：
（１）大学院：昆虫生理学専攻実習、昆虫生理学専攻実験など
（２）学部：資源生物科学実験及び実験法、植物保護科学演習など
5. Qualifications/requirements/応募資格等
A doctoral degree;
Major achievement(s) in the field related to insect physiology;
Capability to conduct independent research and commitment
to accomplishing creative and innovative research;
Enthusiasm to educate undergraduate and graduate students;
and Capability to do research and give education either in English
or in Japanese
以下の要件を全て満たす方：
・博士の学位を有すること
・昆虫生理学に関連した分野において顕著な業績を持つ方。
・自立して研究を行う能力を有し、独創的かつ革新的な研究を遂行する
強い意欲を持つ方。
・学部学生及び大学院生の教育に熱意を有する方。
・英語または日本語で研究教育を担当できる方。
6. Anticipated start date/採用予定時期
As soon as possible on or after 1 April 2017
平成29年4月1日以降のできるだけ早い時期
7. Contract period/任期
Tenured (retirement at age 65)
なし（６５歳定年）
8. Application documents/応募書類
Prepare the following either in English or in Japanese, and submit
them via email. The documents must be combined into a single pdf file,
whose size must be less than 15 MB.
- CV including the applicant’s contact information
- List of academic publications classified into original articles*,
published books, reviews and others *List the articles printed in
peer-reviewed academic journals only, and underline the applicant’s name.
- Reprints or copies of original articles, published books or reviews which
most represent the applicant’s research (five in total)
- Summary of research achievements (1,000 words in English/
2,000 letters in Japanese)
- Research proposal (500 words in English/ 1,000 letters in Japanese)
- Teaching philosophy (500 words in English/ 1,000 letters in Japanese)
- List of acquired research fund
- Names and contact information of two references
以下の書類を英語または日本語で作成し、１つのPDFファイル (ファイルサイズは
15 Mb未満) にまとめて電子メールに添付して提出して下さい。
１）履歴書：連絡先を明記
２）研究業績リスト：原著論文、著書、総説、その他に分類したもの。原著論文には
レフリー制学術雑誌に掲載されたもののみを記載し、応募者の名前に下線を入れ
ること。
３）主要原著論文、著書あるいは総説の別刷（計５編）
４）研究業績の要約（英語の場合1000語以内、日本語の場合2000字以内）
５）着任後の研究に関する抱負（英語の場合500語以内、日本語の場合1000字以内）
６）着任後の教育に関する抱負（英語の場合500語以内、日本語の場合1000字以内）
７）外部資金の取得状況
８）応募者について参考意見を伺える方２名の氏名と連絡先

10. Screening/選考方法
The application will be reviewed by the Selection Committee. Interview may
be conducted after reviewing the applications. Travel expenses for the interview
will not be reimbursed. Online interviews might be conducted for applicants
currently living overseas. Those selected will be notified for further instructions
of the interview.
書類選考。必要に応じて面接を実施します。面接の場合の旅費は応募者の負担となり
ます。海外在住の方の場合はインターネットを利用した面接となる場合があります。
面接の詳細は対象者に別途連絡します。
